We mulch thick underbrush and suitable young trees on overgrown Jackson lots, trails and fence lines. Our compact track loader carries a forestry mulching head and works around marked trees. The shredded material stays on-site as mulch, while buried roots normally remain.
Best for overgrown lots, trails and selective clearing where an on-site mulch layer fits your plans.
Shred underbrush, woody shrubs and small trees; stems up to 7 inches assessed individually.
Controlled passes around the trees you want to keep.
Mulch processed on-site; root removal and hauling are separate.

Forestry Mulching in Clinton, MS
Dense underbrush and smaller trees can make a wooded Clinton property difficult to walk. We use a compact track loader with a forestry mulching head to open the agreed area while keeping marked trees. The material stays on the ground as mulch, leaving clearer walking routes and a space the owner can maintain more easily.

Our Forestry Mulching Process and Equipment
Our process uses an efficient mulching head mounted on a compact track loader to shred wood, underbrush and small to medium-sized trees, typically 5-7 inches in diameter. We work in controlled passes around marked trees, then reprocess thicker material into ground cover. Tree species, density and site conditions determine how we approach each stem.
Privet Thickets and Young-Tree Regrowth
Chinese privet can build dense thickets at woodland edges and beneath larger trees. Young pine and sweetgum can close disturbed openings too. We assess stem size and access before mulching around retained trees. Cutting opens the area, but surviving roots and stumps can send up new shoots, so follow-up maintenance may be needed.
Land Clearing Questions, Clear Answers.
Will forestry mulching remove the roots and stumps?+
A suitable mulching head can reduce exposed stumps, but mulching is not the same as extracting roots. If the area will become a driveway, barn or house pad, confirm the separate root-removal and ground-preparation requirements.
Can you keep selected oak and pine trees?+
Yes. We mark retained trees and plan routes around their roots. Equipment traffic, stockpiles and grade changes can damage a tree even when its trunk remains. We agree on the retained areas and work limits before starting.
Will mulching permanently remove privet?+
Mulching reduces above-ground growth, but privet can return from roots and cut stumps. We discuss follow-up cutting and maintenance. Opening a thicket is different from a complete invasive-plant control program.
